The Studio at Green Pastures is anything but an ordinary place to stay! Set on our private 32-acre farm, The Studio combines the open feel of a loft with the comfort of a relaxing country getaway. Look through the oversized glass garage door and you may find our flock of Katahdin sheep grazing just outside. It feels wonderfully secluded, yet we’re only about 5 minutes from I-65.

Inside, the large open space features a comfortable king bed, full kitchen, coffee bar, 84-inch Smart TV, games and books, along with an eclectic mix of original art, vintage pieces and repurposed furnishings. Beautiful concrete floors and the open design give The Studio the feel of a loft or barndominium, while comfortable seating areas give you plenty of room to relax and enjoy the space.

The Studio also serves from time to time as an art studio and workshop space, which accounts for much of its unique character. Rather than feeling like a typical rental, it’s a fun and unusual collection of art, old and new furnishings, and unexpected touches that you’ll discover throughout your stay.

But some of the best things about The Studio are just outside the door. You’re welcome to explore Green Pastures, watch the sheep and other farm animals, take a walk around the property, or head down the hill to the pond for a little fishing. An old trolley that once ran in downtown Birmingham sits right beside The Studio, where you’ll also find an outdoor seating area with café lights—a great place to unwind at the end of the day.

Wildlife is part of everyday life here. Deer and turkeys regularly wander through the pastures, along with an occasional fox. Hawks, owls and herons make appearances, and our bird feeders attract plenty of visitors. Clear nights can be especially beautiful, with very little surrounding light to interfere with the stars.

The Studio sleeps up to 5 guests with a king bed, sleeper sofa and two twin beds. It also includes a full kitchen, private bathroom with walk-in shower, washer and dryer, Wi-Fi, Smart TV, outdoor grill, fire pit and free parking.

Green Pastures is private and peaceful without being far from everything. We’re convenient to Montevallo, Calera, Alabaster, Columbiana and Pelham, and only minutes from I-65. If you’re unfamiliar with the area, we’re always glad to share some of our favorite restaurants, shops and things to do.

Need more room? The Studio is one of four rentals offered by Green Pastures Getaways. Shepherd’s Retreat and The Cottage are also located on the farm, and The Barn is less than half a mile away. If you’re traveling with a larger group, just ask us about combining accommodations.

Rates & Availability

Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 14 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 14 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
